Corella, The Author of My Own Story
This autobiography chronicles my experiences as a young girl growing up in West Philadelphia and relocating to the Main Line, an adjustment that presented significant cultural contrasts. As a teenager I was faced with many hardships which forced me to grow up fast. Rejected by my father, I became the sole caregiver and provider for my mother after a traumatic event left her severely impaired. I also address my relationship with Kobe Bryant, widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of all time, and discuss the significant impact he has had on my life. This book also covers the events and experiences of over the next 25 years living in Atlanta. This includes working for a law enforcement agency where the Sheriff ordered a hit on a rival, my encounter with a well-known public figure in jail who was my celebrity crush, a racist boss who gives skin lightening cream, seeing personal goals come to fruition, and much more. Ultimately, this autobiography is more than a record of trials and triumphs; it is a testament to perseverance, a celebration of personal growth, and a tribute to the enduring spirit that carries us forward through every chapter of life.

Hey everyone! It’s me, Corella, The Author of My Own Story, and I am the proud author of a children’s book called Hey, Lil Momma! Believe in Yourself, No Matter Your Size.
Growing up in West Philadelphia, I found myself joining just about every dance or cheerleading team that came my way. I loved dancing, cheering, and most importantly, I loved being part of something that made me feel happy and free.
But there were times when I looked around and noticed that the other girls didn’t look like me. They were thinner, had long hair, and, in my young eyes, seemed prettier. And if I’m being honest, sometimes that makes me question myself. My confidence would start to fade, and I wondered if I really belonged.
But I learned something very important: I didn’t have to look like everyone else to be great at what I loved.
I had to believe in myself.
And that is the heart behind Lil Momma.
Lil Momma is a heartwarming story about confidence, family, perseverance, self-love, and the courage to keep going even when you don’t look like everyone else. It reminds children that their size, appearance, or differences do not determine their ability to dream, achieve, shine, and succeed.
Sometimes, children don’t need someone to tell them what they can’t do. Sometimes, all they need is one person standing in their corner saying:
